Homeopathy is a system of medicine that has been practiced worldwide for over 200 years. The remedies are made from plants, animal substances, minerals and salts. The souce material is diluted to such a degree that hardly any of the original material is present in the remedies. In fact, at higher dilutions none of the original material is present. The power of the remedies is in the energetic field created by the original substance that is stored in, and released by, the remedy.

The task of the homeopath is to identify the one remedy that most closely matches the complete picture of the patient. The term ‘holistic’ is often used and this simply means all of the patient’s mental, emotional and physical symptoms are taken into account before choosing a remedy.
